These days, used wheelchair vans are more and more of an option for drivers or passengers with disabilities. New vehicles like minivans can often very expensive, and pre-owned vehicles are usually more affordable for many reasons. Vehicle depreciation can make a new wheelchair accessible van thousands of dollars more expensive than a pre-owned vehicle with the same features and mobility equipment. To save money on a wheelchair accessible minivan, you can buy a used, late model handicap van that is newly converted and still get the customizations and warranties you need without extra fees. Do you need a driver? - There are many rental accessible vehicle services that act very much like taxi services but with a more specialised focus. These rental wheelchair van services will pick you up from a convenient place and drop you off wherever you need to go, whether it is a short trip or more of a long distance undertaking. For people looking for a bit more independence, however, there are many self drives or carer drive rental accessible vehicles available.

Buying a wheelchair accessible van is not a decision to take lightly at all. You are carrying precious cargo, and you want to do it safely and affordably. Buying used wheelchair vans is a smart investment that can last you many years. The best part is that you can get the minivan that allows you to carry your passengers who use a wheelchair without breaking the bank if you save money buying pre-owned wheelchair vans.
