It's seems that everyone always loves a good bartender. There is something quite intriguing about the bartending job. Everybody has some desire to be the one pouring the alcohol. It must have to do with the fact that the bartender is the always the center of the party. The fun revolves around the one pouring the alcohol..
The middle path is the way to wisdom.
People always think the bartender has the coolest job and everyone wants to be one for at least a night. This is great news if you're the one serving the alcohol but not so great news if you're a server. Servers have it tough and it's a very difficult job. Not to say that bartending isn't difficult, but when it comes to dealing with customers, servers have it much harder. Trust me. It's very difficult being in the service industry and having to deal with needy, rude customers. It can be downright degrading having to wait on their every need. bar shanghai Servers have it the worst. If the food isn't good or it took too long to come out, it's the server's fault. The customer feels they can take out their frustrations on the server. For the bartender, there's a separation that gives you a bit more respect. That separation is the bar top and the respect will come from the fact that you are the one serving the booze.
If someone is going out, they're usually trying to relax from a long day and a good stiff cocktail is the best way to do so. You are the one helping them forget about the day. Customers don't look at bartenders as people who are serving them; they look at them as people who are entertaining them.

The bartender's main goal is to get everyone drinks quickly. I call it the "burn and turn" way. You serve one and you're on to the next. It's a numbers game. You don't have to be extremely helpful because you have more drinks to make. The customer needs to order, pay, and get out of the way. They need you more than you need them. And they will still tip because if they don't they won't get another drink. As a bartender there is always another person I can serve so I don't have to be too accommodating. If it's slow that's a different story, being accommodating can make or break your shift. bartender kurs But it's a different type of accommodation than that of a server. It's more about making friends and entertaining. For a server it's more about serving the customer and their every need. Who wants that? Not me; that's why I'm a bartender.
