Mario Kart producer Hideki Konno is interested in bringing mario kart wii u. In an interview within the newest issue of Nintendo Power, Konno said he\\\'d prefer to expand the franchise to Nintendo\\\'s new platform, but couldn\\\'t reveal much else.

Konno also debunked the thought of characters off their franchises arriving at Mario Kart, saying that \\\"we\\\'ve never seriously considered that.\\\"
Finally, while we knew that Retro Studios contributed design work to Mario Kart 7, we didn\\\'t quite know the extent of its involvement. Konno says the company made significant contributions to Mario Kart 7\\\'s development.
